Appointment Policy

Please note that if you arrive more than 10 minutes past your scheduled appointment time, you may be asked to reschedule.

We know your time is valuable, and we make every attempt to see you promptly at your scheduled time. During business hours, emergency cases are seen immediately when needed and always receive top priority, which is why occasional appointment delay is inevitable.

Missed appointment policy

We require advance notice for all appointment cancellations to allow the veterinarians maximum availability for their patients. After the first missed appointment, a courtesy notification and our clinic policy regarding missed appointments will be sent to the client. After the second missed appointment, a notification and a bill for a missed appointment charge of $25.00 will be sent to the client. This fee must be paid prior to future office visits. New clients who miss a second appointment will not be permitted to schedule future appointments.

Patient Arrival Policy

For the safety of all animals in our care, we require that all of our patients' rabies vaccinations be up to date. Even though we make every effort to make our patients feel comfortable during visits, they may be a little uneasy about new people, new surroundings, and other pets. To ensure the safety of you, your pet, and our other clients, all dogs must be kept on a leash while in the waiting area and all cats must be presented in an appropriate cat carrier.

Payment Policy

We require full payment at the time that services are rendered. For your convenience, we accept Visa, MasterCard, CareCredit, cash and personal checks.

Privacy Policy

Washtenaw Veterinary Hospital recognizes the importance of protecting the personal privacy of its clients and its patients. Your privacy is also protected in our hospital.  At no time is any information given out about the client or the pet without the consent of the owner.
