Anesthesia
Our veterinarians and technicians use modern equipment to carefully monitor all pets during anesthetic procedures including dental cleanings and general surgery.
Dentistry
Our dental services include teeth cleaning and polishing, digital dental x-rays, extractions, and minor oral surgery.
HEARTWORM, FLEA & TICK PREVENTION
We currently offer Heartgard (for dogs) and Sentinel (for dogs) to prevent heartworm and certain intestinal parasites. In addition we offer topical Frontline SHIELD and oral Nexgard and Bravecto for the prevention of fleas and ticks in dogs. We now offer Nexgard Combo (for cats) and Nexgard Plus (for dogs) for the treatment of heartworm, certain intestinal parasites, fleas and ticks. WVH team members are happy to help you choose the product that best fits your pet’s needs. We can also order or write prescriptions for any preventative we do not carry in our clinic.
labratory
Our in-house laboratory capabilities include serum chemistry panels, hematology, urinalysis, and cytology. We also utilize reference veterinary laboratories for specialized diagnostics and consultations.
NUTRITIONAL COUNSELING
We will provide guidance regarding your pet's dietary needs for each life stage, including dietary requirements for growth, weight maintenance, and performance.
PERMANENT IDENTIFICATION
We offer microchip implantation in order to ensure permanent identification.
PHARMACY
We maintain an inventory of frequently used pharmaceuticals, nutraceuticals, shampoos, flea and tick control products, and heartworm preventatives to meet the needs of your pet. We also carry a full line of prescription feline and canine diets and we can order any prescription food that we do not stock.
We also maintain an online Pharmacy, that allows you to register and shop medications, dietary needs, supplements, and more - without needing to visit the hospital.
Please allow 24 hours to process all prescription requests. Many prescriptions require authorization by the prescribing veterinarian and we recommend planning ahead for weekends, holidays, and travel.
RADIOLOGY SERVICES
Our on-site, digital x-ray equipment provides high quality radiographs to aid in the quick diagnosis of many disorders.
SURGICAL SERVICES
Our state-of-the-art surgical suite provides for the performance of a wide variety of surgical procedures including spay, neuter, mass removal, and more.
VACCINATIONS
We provide all vaccinations necessary to keep your dog and cat healthy through each unique stage of their life. We also offer vaccine titers for clients who prefer to minimize the number of vaccines their pet receives.
Laser therapy
We offer low level laser therapy to promote wound healing, reduction of inflammation, bone repair, and tendon/ligament repair among many other things.
